The Truth About Teeth Whitening, Teeth Stains and Dental Care

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Throughout the years, I have slowly become conscious about my health and general well being, particularly in the area of general fitness and the human body. Since that period of time, I have slowly started to see a difference between conscious effort and idle dreaming. So many people want to see a change in their health and fitness, yet very few make the actual investment to commit the time needed to actually make these changes.

Is this a coincidence? I really have a firm belief that the most important thing that gets us do anything in our lives isn’t really what’s in our nature, but something which has come directly from society of some kind. Gone are the days of manual labor and working hard for money. We are now living in a new information age where we no longer have to use our hands to actually work. Information is easily there in front of us. With the dawn of the internet, calculators and motor vehicles, we really have come very far in advancement, yet with that, comes idleness.

People are less willing to actually put in the manual work needed in order to see results and instead, focus purely on instant gratification. Whats worse, is that many corporations are taking advantage of the needs of the consumer and are releasing products with titles such as: “Mastery in 3 days or less”, “Learn… in

a week” “Instant results…” etc

So its no wonder society in this day in age is becoming deluded and misguided as to what success and mastery actually means. With this in mind, what is the most effective way to whiten teeth and stop teeth stains? Its simple… We need to be caring towards our teeth; floss, brush twice daily, use mouth wash and keep a healthy diet.

Of course, saying something like that would not really entice the consumer into buying, since so many of us want results with little to no effort, yet we seem to not realize the true reality of it. Which is, it is impossible to see rewards in any form without putting in effort in some way. Even entrepreneurs with passive income have had to have put in the investment in the beginning to have made their success happen.

So having understood this, I have now reached a point where I know that in order to make any improvements to my teeth, I have to ignore the conventional and typical wisdom of relying purely on the products alone to whiten my teeth and to keep them clean and in check, but to now focus entirely on my investment and effort alone. It is this common denominator which will separate successful people from failures; whether they get and sustain white teeth and prevent teeth stains or not.

How to stop teeth stains from occuring

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Dental care is quite possibly one of the most important elements of our daily lives which we have to focus on as part of our health. Its so important, that we have to literally put more effort into our teeth twice daily for a few minutes each time. The one element however that most people seem to have in common is the idea that teeth cleaning is as simple as getting a tooth brush, applying some tooth paste and to simply brush over your teeth for a few minutes.

However when looked at closely, it is actually far more complicated than that. It isn’t simply the time you put into cleaning your teeth, but how you invested into that time that matter most. So as an example, did you spend an equal time to every area of your teeth? Have you flossed?

The fact is, in order to prevent problems like teeth stains and decay, we have to be thorough and meticulous to the time in which we spend on our teeth. The biggest problem that most people get which is common is teeth sensitivity and general holes in between their teeth whichis difficult to target with brushing.

This is why it’s vital to understand that in order to stop future problems, we have to place more of our time and effort properly in order to achieve the kind of results that we all want so as to prevent any possible complications in the future.

Its a very basic and obvious principle, yet so many people seem to overlook it and make the same mistakes. So really, the basics of brushing your teeth is not as basic as once thought. However, in application, constant repetition of the correct fundamentals need to be applied in order for it to eventually become basic and straight forward.

So what we need to look for when brushing is to ask ourselves questions which will force us to satisfy them objectively to ourselves. This will force us to ensure that what and how we are applying ourselves to our teeth is as thorough and effective as possible, and to prevent possible teeth stains from developing. The questions will help form a mental checklist which when tackled, will ensure that your basics and fundamentals have been taken care of with each brushing. After a while these questions will become subconscious and will rely on it less and less due to it becoming a daily habit.

Another way, is to deliberately invest more time to your teeth. Because the more you invest on them, the more value you will naturally start to place to your teeth, which will result in taking extra care with them. This is why people who brush consistently, continue to do so over a period of time, because of the time invested in taking care of their teeth.

A few simple things to think about, but very effective when put into practice.

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

When you are an actor or wannabe movie star, you’re going to want a great headshot.

The actor’s comp card sells the actor. You just need a true photo. Quite a few agencies have what they call a “headbook” which includes all the headshots of all with the actors in their agency. As casting directors come through town, lots of times they will request a copy in the headbook ahead of they ever hold an audition. They browse through headshots book picking actors by their headshots. Then people that have been selected are called in for the audition. Other times, especially for additional or featured roles, actors are selected for a role straight from the headbook. Casting directors want what they see and in this enterprise, your look is all. So be sure to sell yourself true and honest. You never know what a casting director is really after. You could just have it.

So what is the secret to an excellent headshot? Before you even get into your photo studio there are some tips to remember:

The actor’s headshot sells the actor. You just need a true photograph of yourself. Quite a few agencies have what they call a “headbook” which includes all the headshots of all with the actors in their agency. As casting directors come through town, lots of times they will request a copy in the headbook ahead of they ever hold an audition. So be sure to sell yourself true and honest. You never know what a director is actually after. You could just have it.

Understand that the best headshots are going to be focused on bringing out your personality.

Considering that photo are going to be in black and white

it’s probably not an excellent idea to wear black and white clothing since it can be too bold. Colors for instance blue, red, or green display up rather consistently with the grayscale matte. Strong colors are less of a challenge on the eye than stripes or prints.

  • Heavy make-up isn’t required, nevertheless when you do choose to wear make-up, a light foundation evenly covering the face may make you appear nicer. Don’t plaster your mug with it. In case you are blessed with lots of freckles, don’t cover them up. Directors know the miracles of make-up already. On the other hand, your freckles could provide you with just the character these are looking for.
  • When you commonly wear your hair straight, really do not curl it up, and vice versa should you have naturally curly hair-don’t straighten it.
  • Smile. It does not need to be cheesy, it does not have to be furious, it merely needs to be you. A glimpse of your teeth also shows the casting director you've got a nice smile. If you’ve got braces, crooked teeth, a great gap while in the middle, smile anyway. Really do not conceal anything.
  • Don’t be a fashion model. Avoid flipping the hair, leaning your chin in your arm, or any other form of prop. The directors want to see a straight head shot, they really do not want to see you getting cute or knock dead dazzling, these people want to discover you.
  • Never use soft focus or particular lighting strategies. The basic important, fill and back lights on the studio have to be all you may need.
  • Be sure you’re using a easy, non-distracting backdrop. B & W shots are not advised, nevertheless some pros will make it appear awesome. Most common are off-white, gray, light blue or any color that comes by using a gentle gray tone. If you are taking the photos be sure there is nothing distracting towards the eye while in the background. A headshot’s background will probably be mostly out of focus anyway.

So how are you going to make your headshot work for you?
